This is a unique opportunity to be involved with the generation on Hinkley Point C, a nuclear power station in Somerset, set to power six million homes with low-carbon energy to support the UK’s net-zero goals.
BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable
The Operational Draftsperson will be responsible for generating and revising P&IDs and electrical drawings to support the Commissioning and Operations teams at Hinkley Point C, in alignment with the project schedule. In addition to producing these drawings, the draftsperson will ensure compliance with relevant processes and provide advisory support on related documentation. To facilitate the creation of drawings, the draftsperson will be expected to utilise project documentation from several disciplines.
Pre-Operations is split into the following programmes of work aligned to meet the current needs of the business:
An Operational Draftsperson ensures that drawings are available to support the programs outlined above, as well as the Commissioning organisation throughout the construction, commissioning and the operational phase of Hinkley Point C.
Principal Accountabilities
Advise on the necessary software tools required to meet the specifications of the Hinkley Point C project.
Collaborate with the Operational Procedures team to assist in the production of drawings.
Extract relevant data from various project documents to create accurate drawings.
