The Walsh-VINCI Transit Community Partners (WVTCP) Joint Venture consisting of VINCI Construction Grands Projets and Walsh Construction has been selected to construct the $2.9BN Design Build Red Line Extension (RLE) project – the largest civil construction contract ever awarded by the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA).
The RLE Mainline Design-Build (MDB) Project will extend the CTA's Red Line by 5.6 miles, extending from the existing terminal at 95th/Dan Ryan south to 130th Street and Doty Avenue.

The Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Manager will support construction teams by providing expert guidance on temporary traffic control and safety standards (MUTCD and state-specific), while leading and advising field staff to ensure safe and compliant work zones.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Investigates traffic related situations and implements improvements measures as the result of requests, complaints, and inquiries.
- Prepares/reviews/updates the MOT Plan, and coordinates with all the agencies involved with traffic.
- Assigns, schedules, supervises, and reviews work assigned to crew employees.
- Management of crews completing the marking and identification of construction zones and areas for striping, lane closures, and installation of barrier walls.
- Management of crews setting up and removing lane closures at specified times and ensuring safety and compliance with IDOT specifications.
- Management of message boards/program boards.
- Management of loading and unloading all MOT equipment/devices
- Assisting in MOT inspections of equipment.
- Prepare monthly accounting forecast, updating, and tracking planned quantities.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Salary:
$145,0000 - $165,000.00
Work Environment:
- Involves a dynamic and challenging work environment.
- Includes tasks such as maintaining and repairing heavy machinery, ensuring equipment operates efficiently, and adhering to safety protocols in construction sites.
- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and reflective vests when on-site.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- Walking and standing while in-office or on-site.
- Occasional climbing on and off equipment and bending to inspect.
