Position: CS&A Revit Designer

Reference: 2565

Location: Hinton House (3 days/week office based but will require infrequent site visits and/or travel to other offices)

Arrangement: Contract (Inside IR35) or Permanent basis.

BPSS clearance will be required at basic level. Prior clearance will not be transferable.

 

Project Description:

Modification of a Cooling Tower & access support structures (CS&A) and Piping Design (Mechanical) within a Revit model, and updates to the associated layout and piping isometric drawings.

 

Role Description:

  • To produce engineering design work packages (specification, drawings, verification or assessment of engineering) that satisfy the legal and functional requirements along with the associated performance conditions to the agreed time, cost and quality.
  • Revit model development of the CS&A and Mechanical Piping elements to be undertaken with support from CS&A & Mechanical Lead Engineers.

Preferred experience

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of working within a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry.
  • Experience delivering safe, fit-for-purpose, fully integrated and operable design solutions that meet product requirements. 
  • Qualified and experienced user of Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience producing design deliverables such as technical reports, technical drawings, layouts, sequence drawings, installation method statements, risk assessments.
  • Experience of steelwork design with knowledge of the relevant design standards and legislation, e.g., Eurocode 3, BS5950-1.
  • Understanding of steel detailing requirements.
  • Familiarity and experience of working and complying with applicable British and ISO Standards.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders across a wide range of specialist areas and at all levels from both technical and non-technical backgrounds.
  • Experience working in an integrated, multi-disciplinary design delivery team.
  • Minimum HNC, preferred HND in Civil Engineering or similar, with 5 or more years design delivery experience. Alternatively, a degree in Civil Engineering (BEng or MEng) with a minimum of 2 years’ design delivery experience.
