The Country Sustainability Manager will lead the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives across our operations in Uganda. This role involves overseeing branch operations, managing budgets, engaging with donors and clients, approving expenses, promoting the adoption of mobile financial solutions, developing certification programs in each branch—including Rainforest Alliance (RFA), Organic (ORG), and Touton’s own PACT certifications—overviewing traceability of sourced commodities, managing internal audits and ensuring successful external audits. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of sustainability practices, strong project management skills, and the ability to drive change within a dynamic environment.
Key responsabilities :
Branch Supervision :
Oversee the day-to-day operations of regional branches, ensuring alignment with the company’s sustainability objectives.
Manage and supervise branch activities to maintain consistency and ensure targets are reached across all locations.
Manage a team of sustainability officers, agronomists and other staff involved in our sustainability activities
Budget Management :
Manage budget reconciliation processes with donors and internal funding sources, ensuring transparency and accountability in the allocation and utilization of funds.
Reporting donor funding timely and accurately to Touton Headquarters.
Proactively formulate action plans in case of over or under spends.
Establishment of presentation of expenses versus budget to local and group management
In charge of monthly reconciliation to be shared with local management for review and approval

Experience:
A minimum of five years of experience managing sustainability programs, with at least two years in a supervisory or administrative role.
Proven experience in branch supervision, budget reconciliation, expense approval, stakeholder engagement, certification program development, traceability management, and audit processes.
Familiarity with mobile financial services, particularly Mobile Money (MoMo), and their application in organizational finance.
Skills:
