The position

Job description

In 2017, Tikehau opened its Madrid office to accelerate its investment and fundraising activities in Spain and Portugal. The Iberian office counts with 17 professionals, who cover locally investments for Tikehau’s Private Debt, Real Estate and Private Equity strategies, having performed over 25 investments to date.

 

Tikehau Capital is looking for an investment analyst intern to join its Private Equity team at the Madrid office and support local investment activities.


Missions :

  • Support the team in the origination activities and development of Tikehau’s strategy in Iberia, which includes preparing marketing materials and meetings with advisors and potential target companies.
  • Execution of investment opportunities, including:

Review and analysis of the relevant transaction materials (teasers, IMs, DD reports, financial models, etc.).

Evaluation of the Business Plan, while identifying key investment highlights and risks.

Participate in buy-side due diligence processes, while supporting transaction negotiation and execution.

Prepare the internal / committee materials, as well as attend and participate in the investment committees.

  • Portfolio monitoring activities:

Participate in meetings with management teams and asset managers.

Support portfolio companies in the value creation initiatives.

Prepare periodical follow-up reports.

Contribute to the continuous development of Tikehau’s strategy and activities in Spain and Portugal

Work alongside other Tikehau offices and departments



Preferred experience

Profile :

·       Previous experience (minimum from 6 to 12 months) in Private Debt/Private Equity/M&A/Corporate finance is highly recommended.

·       Strong analytic and financial capabilities with proven knowledge of accounting, valuation, modelling and other corporate finance related topics.

·       Motivated, proactive, result-oriented, team player and eager to thrive and learn in an entrepreneurial and dynamic company.

·       Organized and capable of processing and structuring a large amount of information.

·       Strong proficiency of Microsoft Office.

·       Fluent in English and Spanish (written business English and Spanish is mandatory).

·       Holds a degree from a Business School or University with a specialization in Finance is highly recommended.
