The position

Job description

Missions:

  • Manages day to day finance operations, ensure timely preparation of financial statements (quarterly/yearly), in respect with reporting standards and regulation, liaising outsourced Chartered Accountant and Auditors as needed

  • Monitors the financial performance of the company by providing accurate data and advice supporting data-driven decisions, notably

  • Optimizing topline, supporting commercial action plans and checking on time invoicing & collection

  • Controlling costs (personnel, external purchase, capex)

  • Optimizing the overall efficiency (setting-up objectives & performance indicators)

  • Assessing risks & opportunities

  • Leads the business planning processes (budget, actuals/reforecast) and support the CFO in financial modelling and scenario analyses

  • Deliver financial elements to guarantee the success of grant fundings and R&D tax credits

  • Ensures full compliance with local and international regulations (GAAP, tax,…)

  • Participate in the implementation and improvement of financial systems, tools, dashboards and processes suitable for a scaling business

  • Help maintain & develop internal controls and financial policies

  • Contributes to strategic initiatives /business development / fundraising / external financial communications

Reporting to: CFO


Preferred experience

Minimum level required:  Master / Business School Degree in Finance, Master in Science or MBA

Required skills:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in various finance positions, such as external audit, FP&A or FBP roles, ideally in fast-growing environment.

  • Business acumen, appetite for science and to understand the way the company operates and develops software.

  • Strong analytical and good synthesis skills. Good systems knowledge (Excel, BI, CRM & Accounting tools)

  • Polyvalent, flexible & doer.  Change agent: propose, lead and drive changes, challenge status quo, influence decisions.

  • Accountability & reliability: rigor, ownership & execution.

  • Good listener and good communicant (oral & written). Motivation to grow in career.
