Internship Opportunity: Computer Vision & Deep Learning for Radiation Therapy Toxicity Assessment in Breast Cancer

Are you passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technology to revolutionize cancer treatment? Do you have a keen interest in computer vision and deep learning algorithms? If so, we have an exciting internship opportunity for you!

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our dynamic team focused on developing computer vision and deep learning solutions for toxicity assessment in breast cancer radiation therapy in collaboration with Gustave Roussy hospital. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects aimed at analyzing imaging data to identify and quantify treatment-related toxicities. Through this internship, you will gain invaluable experience in applying advanced machine learning techniques to address critical challenges in oncology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project objectives and requirements.

    Develop and implement computer vision algorithms for the analysis of imaging data.

    Train and optimize deep learning models to accurately assess the toxicity of radiation therapy treatment.

    Conduct thorough evaluations and validations of developed algorithms using clinical datasets.

    Iterate on model designs and methodologies based on feedback and performance metrics.

    Contribute to the documentation and dissemination of research findings through reports and presentations.


Preferred experience

  • Qualifications:

    • Currently enrolled in a graduate program (Master’s) in computer science, machine learning, applied mathematics or a related field.

      Strong foundation in machine learning, computer vision, and deep learning techniques.

      Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in libraries such as TensorFlow and PyTorch

      Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

      Effective communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
