Job description

Your Team

Within the Engineering Division of Technip Energies’ Paris office, you will join the Electrical Equipment section.
With 60 years of experience in energy project design, the division comprises 600 people covering all disciplines present on our facilities (more than 20).
Driven by TEN Group’s values of inclusion, the division relies on the diversity of its members to grow. This means the position is open to all, and your application will receive dedicated consideration.

Your Playground

Within a multicultural task force attached to your discipline, you will contribute to the engineering and design of projects executed by TEN France for the group’s various Business Lines: decarbonized solutions (CO₂ capture, hydrogen, wind), LNG, or biofuels.
For these mostly export projects, you will interface with other TEN departments (project management, procurement, construction) as well as our mainly international partners (client, vendor, value engineering partner…).

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Electrical Material Engineer, you will work within multicultural electrical teams and be responsible for defining, selecting and managing the procurement of complex electrical equipment such as high-voltage switchgear and transformers, high-power variable speed drives, or power generation packages; and/or overseeing the procurement of simpler electrical equipment (low-voltage switchboards, transformers, UPS…).

Your main project responsibilities will include:

  • Writing or reviewing specifications, data sheets and requisitions for major electrical equipment and power generation packages (EDG, GTG, STG…) in line with project requirements and network calculations.
  • Preparing protection schemes and typical control system diagrams.
  • Participating in the selection of equipment best suited to project constraints (technology, schedule, cost…).
  • Reviewing and commenting on vendor documentation, and ensuring technical follow-up after purchase order issuance.
  • Working with the procurement team to monitor schedule and cost impacts related to changes in equipment orders.
  • Coordinating with installation specialists to ensure proper layout and integration of electrical equipment in the project design (location, connection feasibility, etc.).
  • Supporting the inspection team during factory acceptance tests (FAT).
  • Interfacing with the grid operator.

Role Highlights

  • Supervise a team of junior electrical engineers managing simple electrical equipment packages (low-voltage switchboards, dry transformers…).
  • Opportunity to participate on-site during installation, testing and commissioning phases of electrical equipment.

Your Profile

You are the ideal candidate if you hold an engineering degree from a top electrical engineering school and have at least 7 years of experience in electrical engineering or design office activities.
Significant experience in power generation plants, open switchyards, high-power variable speed drives, or experience during operations or commissioning phases would be a plus.

Flexible, rigorous, and dynamic, you are a team player and thrive in multicultural environments with diverse stakeholders.
You are fluent in English and available for travel in France and internationally.
You are comfortable with standard office and engineering software; experience with ETAP or DIgSILENT would be an asset.

Your Future with Us

Your career at TEN may evolve toward team management, technical specialization, or expert roles.
Technip Energies supports internal and intragroup mobility (expatriation or international local contract), and moves toward other transversal departments are possible.

Our Benefits

  • Benefits include: profit-sharing and incentive bonuses, 100% coverage of the “Île-de-France” transport card, works council advantages.
  • Telework available 2/3 days per week: Technip Energies promotes a healthy work–life balance.
  • Three annual career reviews: Mid-Year Review, Professional Interview, and Annual Review.
  • Based in the Origine building, certified by several environmental labels (“The 100 Iconic Sustainable Buildings in the World”), featuring two restaurants, a cafeteria, a gym, and coworking spaces.
