The I & C Engineer is part of the project engineering team, which is led by o ne Engineering Manager / Technical Coordinator. The I & C Engineer r eports operationally to the Lead EIC Engineer or directly to the Engineering M anager / Technical Coordinator. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES For project execution: The I & C Engineer has the following tasks: • Production of instrumentation design deliverables, i.e instrumentation g eneral specification, instrumentation datasheets, hook-up drawings, etc. • Production of control design deliverables, i.e. c ontrol system a rchitecture, I/O lists, functional description specifications, control system s pecification, etc. • Production of control system package specification/datasheets for inquiry, c hecking suppliers / sub-contractors’ offers (compliance with the inquiry), p reparation of the technical comparison table based on the offers received, t echnical ranking of the offers, and participation to the selection of the s ub-contractor / supplier together with the engineering manager, project buyer a nd project manager. • Follow up and review of the engineering documentation provided by the s uppliers / sub-contractors once purchase order has been placed (= review and a pproval of the control system detailed design produced by the control system s ub-contractor, etc.) • Coordination with the other engineering disciplines, such as: Check and comment of mechanical equipment design related to instrumentation & control (for instance, if the equipment/package is provided with a local c ontrol panel).
