As our ANZ business continues to expand and evolve, we are now looking to strengthen our HSES team in the creation of a new position ‘HSW Advisor – People & Systems’. Reporting to the GM of HSES, you will play a pivotal role in preparing monthly and quarterly HSW/HSE, EIR and Sustainable Development performance reports, ensuring data accuracy and providing meaningful insights that support senior decision‑making. You will support the incident investigation process by overseeing reporting, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking and documentation, while also contributing to management reviews through trend analysis and assurance of system effectiveness.

A key component to the role involves maintaining and administering HSW/HSE management system documentation so that it remains current, compliant and aligned with both governance and ISO requirements. You will help ensure legal and regulatory compliance across WHS, environmental and water industry frameworks, and plan and conduct on‑site audits, inspections and critical risk control verifications, including Life Saving Rules and HSE Standards.

In addition, you will coordinate internal & external audits across ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 and other schemes, supporting site preparation and ensuring corrective actions are tracked effectively, as well as managing contractor‑related compliance through inductions, competency checks and on‑site monitoring. The role provides practical guidance to leaders and teams on how to integrate HSW/HSE requirements into everyday work, offering system support, compliance advice and escalation pathways where required. It also leads the development and delivery of HSW/HSE learning pathways, induction programs and capability materials in collaboration with Learning & Development, while contributing to wellbeing programs, psychosocial risk initiatives, WHS Committee activities and broader workforce wellbeing campaigns. A continuous improvement mindset is vital as you will regularly review systems and processes, analyse data to identify trends and opportunities, and support standardisation and lessons‑learned activities across the business.

Preferred experience

Our ideal candidate will bring at least 3+ years’ experience in HSW/HSE compliance, advisory work, or systems administration, supported by strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory frameworks, and ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001). Y our resume can demonstrate experience supporting audits, reporting, training delivery, and wellbeing initiatives, along with solid capability in system management, data analysis, dashboard development, and interpreting trends.

You have effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently under guidance, and contribute to capability development through learning pathways and knowledge management. The role also requires familiarity with integrated HSE management systems, digital platforms, analytical problem‑solving skills, and a willingness to occasionally travel to operational sites as needed.
