The position

Job description

As a Software Engineer, you are responsible for implementation and actively contribute to the technical design and optimization of our SaaS solutions. Within this position, the development will mainly be focused on Backend technologies.

💌 Your daily missions will include:

  • Integrate a domain team working with lightweight development workflows, requiring a high-level of autonomy and a strong sense of ownership

  • Work closely with the Splio’s guilds to ensure best practices are applied across the teams and our stack follows the market trend

  • Work hand-in-hand with the Product team to implement expected functionalities, always keeping the customer in mind

  • Managing performance of a real-time web application displaying a high density of data

  • Contribute daily to all parts of our application’s code base : code review, test, architecture design, release and monitoring ⇒ “You Build It, You run It”

  • Constantly interface with the teams involved in the project to ensure a high-quality product is continuously deployed

Stack:

  • Languages : Java, TypeScript, Golang

  • Framework/Lib : Quarkus, NestJS, Gin

  • Data : MySQL, Redis, Clickhouse

  • Dev Env : Gitlab, Docker, K8s

  • Hosting : AWS

  • Tech Run (20%)

    • Ensure the stability and reliability of Splio’s production systems

    • Monitor application performance and proactively identify issues

    • Participate in incident management and root cause analysis

    • Collaborate with the team to implement fixes and improvements following incidents


Preferred experience

📣 Good communication skills to collaborate effectively and build trust within the team

⚙️ A solid technical foundation, enabling you to learn new technologies and contribute to technical discussions

🏛 Basic understanding of technical architecture, with a focus on implementing and maintaining existing solutions

✅ A strong interest in engineering best practices and continuous improvement

🧑🏻‍🏫 Hands-on mindset with ownership of your work, and the ability to learn by doing

🔁 Comfortable working in evolving environments and adapting during the software development lifecycle

🤸‍♂️ Good knowledge of Agile development practices

🇬🇧 Good English skills (spoken and written)
