As Project Development Manager (PDM), you will play a key role in shaping Solveo Energies’ growth in Southeast Europe by turning opportunities into tangible renewable energy assets. You’ll drive the full development lifecycle — from identifying promising sites to reaching Ready-to-Build status — ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest technical and environmental standards.
Your work will directly contribute to accelerating the energy transition in the region and to establishing Solveo’s presence and credibility in Croatia and beyond.
1. Transform opportunities into energy projects
Identify and secure the most promising sites for solar and wind development.
Combine legal, technical, and environmental insights to unlock viable, competitive projects.
Build strong partnerships with landowners, local authorities, and grid operators to pave the way for project success.
2. Lead the development journey from concept to Ready-to-Build
Manage the overall project development roadmap — aligning timelines, budgets, and deliverables to company objectives.
Ensure all permits, authorizations, and environmental requirements are secured efficiently.
Oversee technical and grid connection studies in collaboration with in-house experts based in France.
3. Drive financial and strategic value
Monitor and control development expenditures to maximize return on investment.
Support the preparation of business plans and investment proposals in collaboration with Project Finance and Legal teams.
Provide clear and data-driven insights (SWOT analyses, feasibility assessments) to guide strategic decisions.
4. Be Solveo’s ambassador on the ground
Represent Solveo with local stakeholders, public institutions, and network operators.
Champion transparent, responsible, and solution-oriented relationships that reinforce Solveo’s reputation as a trusted renewable energy partner.
Contribute to building a high-performing, collaborative office culture in Zagreb.
5. Build the foundation for future growth
Foster a network of local contractors, consultants, and suppliers to strengthen Solveo’s operational ecosystem.
Anticipate risks, regulatory evolutions, and market trends to secure long-term competitiveness.
Lay the groundwork for a strong and agile local team capable of scaling Solveo’s ambitions across Southeast Europe
🫀Hard & soft skills:
Master degree, associated to at least 2 years of experience in a similar position, ideally with a company operating in the renewable energy sector.
Autonomous, self-starter and recognized for your team spirit and capabilities to take initiatives.
You can make decisions in combination with a strong capacity to convince stakeholders and clients.
You are full of knowledges & curiosity in all technical aspects related to wind and photovoltaic projects
You know how Microsoft Office Suite works, and can easily use or learn QGIS, PV Syst, RatedPower, AutoCAD or equivalent.
You are fluent in oral and written English as well as the Croatian language which are the working languages Knowledge in Cyrillic alphabet is a plus and conversational French would be an advant
You have a valid driver’s license (B category and open on business travel that we are expecting up to 20%.
