Responsibilities

Within Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking, the Global Markets Division brings together the Research, Investment and Risk Management Solutions, Execution and Clearing, Prime Services, Equities, Fixed Income, Futures and Currencies & Commodities structuring capabilities with the objective of providing investors with one integrated multi-asset market solutions team. The business uses an advisory and innovation mindset, focused on client needs, with a global leader in financial markets engineering. Global Markets is a leading player in derivatives, with unrivaled over the counter and listed derivatives expertise, as well as cross-asset and economic research.

Responsibilities:

  • The role is a high-client-touch role that requires good communication skills to build relationships and trust with our clients
  • Coordinate client requests with the different trading teams, Engineering
  • Manage all post-trade operations and coordinate with middle office, back office, and documentations teams for bookings
  • Request Credit/ Risk approvals (liaise with the Risk department and COOs) and monitor existing credit lines
  • General upkeep of operational issues
  • Kick off KYC processes for new customers on-boarding and coordinate new clients' sub-accounts openings with Client Support Unit. Provide overall care of client accounts to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Work with automation, engineering, operations, and COO teams to continuously identify issues and improve processes

Profile required

PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
  • Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in finance
  • A previous experience in financial markets would be appreciated

Language skills:
  • Fluent in English

Operational, technical & soft skills:
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient/Good command of MS Office
  • Strong communication skills

The VIE assignment in a nutshell

This VIE in New York is to begin November 1st, 2025, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.

The VIE is a specific contract, under Business France's eligibility criteria, opened to candidates under 28 and from the member states of the European Economic Space. For further information (including your financial indemnities), please see Mon VIE-VIA Business France.
