We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the FOS team.
You’ll work with a modern stack (React Native, Python/Django) and guide a talented group of engineers through technical challenges, delivery execution, and personal growth.
This is a high-impact leadership role, combining strategic thinking, technical depth, and team development in a mission-driven environment.
Lead, coach, and grow the FOS engineering team within a collaborative, low-ego culture
Define the technical direction and drive architectural decisions
Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software
Foster strong collaboration between Engineering, Product, and Data teams
Promote best practices in testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and code craftsmanship
Help shape and scale Smartway’s engineering organization as we grow
Proven experience managing engineering teams, ideally in a startup or scale-up environment
Strong understanding of modern web and mobile technologies: TypeScript, React, React Native, Python
Solid background in system design and architecture
Ability to balance technical leadership with delivery execution
Strong communication, mentoring, and team-building skills
Fluent in French and English
Willing to travel to Nantes once per quarter
Experience in SaaS B2B or Food Retail sectors
Familiarity with data-driven or machine learning products
Past experience scaling teams and systems in a high-growth context
