We are looking for a Senior General Accountant based in London

Reporting to the Group Accounting Director, you will be a key member of our finance team managing a complex 12-entity international group. This role is ideal for a senior accountant who enjoys the technical challenges of multi-company consolidations and international tax compliance.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Control: Lead monthly and annual closing processes for assigned group entities.

  • Balance Sheet Management: Ensure the integrity of the balance sheet through rigorous analysis and reconciliation.

  • Intercompany Strategy: Manage complex intercompany reconciliations and cross-border transactions.

  • Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and filing of VAT, Corporation Tax, and other statutory requirements, partnering with local experts for global offices.

  • Statutory Reporting: Prepare year-end financial statements and act as a primary point of contact for external auditors.

  • Business Partnership: Work closely with HR for payroll accounting and various department heads to ensure accurate cutoff and reporting.

 Candidate Profile

  • Qualifications: Fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or equivalent degree with 5+ years of experience. A background in "Big 4" or mid-tier accounting firms is highly desirable.

  • Environment: Proven track record in an international, multi-currency, and multi-entity corporate environment.

  • Technical Skills: Expert-level Excel and deep experience with ERP systems. You should be comfortable working independently across all accounting functions.

  • Communication: Exceptional English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.

  • Soft Skills: A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced technology environment.

  • Proficiency in French is a plus.
