The position

Job description

Strategic analysis and modeling

  • Conduct in-depth market analyses: market sizing, competitive landscape, drivers, trends, positioning

  • Develop financial and operational models to evaluate strategic options (new squad formation, acquisitions, partnerships, revenue projections)

  • Contribute to intellectual property strategy: analyze monetization options (open source, white labeling, joint ventures, licensing)

  • Model business models and operational structures to support strategic decisions

  • Evaluate and prepare potential acquisition targets for Sigma Nova

Executive-level deliverables

  • Produce executive-level briefs and presentations (C-suite, CEO) that are clear and actionable

  • Synthesize complex insights from research teams into business recommendations

  • Facilitate cross-functional teams to extract the essence of their work and translate it into market and partner relevance

Organizational structuring support

  • Contribute to the design and optimization of operational models (team organization, workflows)

  • Help define how to organize squads and structure initiatives based on identified opportunities

  • Ensure alignment between technology development and business objectives


Preferred experience

Core experience and skills

  • 4-8 years of significant experience in strategy consulting, ideally at top-tier firms (BCG, McKinsey, etc.)

  • Demonstrated ability to produce in-depth market analyses and executive-level deliverables

  • Strong financial and operational modeling skills

  • Experience managing client/partner relationships, ideally in a technological or scientific context

Strategic capabilities

  • Excellent ability to connect the dots between science, product, and business

  • Mastery of classic strategic frameworks (GTM strategy, competitive positioning, market assessment)

  • Ability to navigate between technological innovation, product development, and commercialization

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit, able to think about “innovation commercialization”

Personal qualities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, comfortable with high-level presentations

  • Strong resilience and adaptability, able to work directly with the CEO on complex strategic topics

  • Strong interest (but not necessarily technical expertise) in AI and advanced technologies

  • Versatility and autonomy in priority management

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: desire to be exposed to a demanding startup environment

Education

  • Advanced degree, preferably Master’s or PhD

  • Appetite for advanced technologies and artificial intelligence

  • Fluency in French and professional English
