What The Internship is About
This internship is designed for driven, technically minded students who want hands-on experience at the intersection of engineering, data, and business impact. You’ll be embedded in a team of experienced Forward Deployed Engineers and work directly on real client engagements.
At its core, the FDE role is fundamentally an engineering role, but with a crucial twist. Unlike traditional software engineers, FDEs bring their advanced technical expertise directly to the frontlines, working closely with clients. As an intern, you’ll get to experience this firsthand: building data pipelines, developing software solutions, and seeing how your work translates into tangible outcomes for customers.
You’ll immerse yourself in our customers’ most intricate workflows, partner with customer teams, explore the data, and dive into the product landscape.
Go onsite and meet with experts ranging from data scientists to machinery specialists to understand the critical questions they need to answer and locate their biggest problems
Identify relevant datasets through deep engagement with customer problems and workflows
Integrate data into a stable and extensible pipeline
Work with the customer to build customized workflows for new user groups
Contribute to training sessions and demos to new and existing customers

Curiosity and initiative: you dig into problems and don’t wait to be told what to do
Low ego, because the outcome matters more than who gets the credit
Ability to confront open-ended problems in unstructured environments
Adaptive and introspective; willing to learn, ask questions, and grow fast
Currently pursuing an engineering degree (Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics, or equivalent)
Solid foundations in software development (Python, Pandas, etc.)
Interest in data engineering, infrastructure, and system integration
Available for an internship of 4 to 6 months
