The position

Job description

As a Validation Program Leader, the candidate will work with a highly motivated team involved in the development of complex embedded solutions. The candidate will demonstrate that software or software components fulfil their intended use when placed in their intended environment (real & simulated). Candidates will interface with software, system, program, and quality teams to meet commitments for quality, cost, and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Develop & Execute verification and validation procedures, manual and automated tests for safety critical software.
  • Establish the Validation project schedules.
  • Track and execute commitments.
  • Identification and escalation of risks.
  • Participation in Change Control Boards (CCB) and all other program meetings.
  • Remotely manage offshore validation team members' tasks.

Preferred experience

  • Bachelor’s degree of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other Engineering discipline.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in Validation.
  • Extensive knowledge embedded SW component testing (VectorCast, RTRT, or similar).
  • Knowledge of requirements-based integration testing.
  • Knowledge of Validation and SW development lifecycles.
  • Experience in developing schedules and task tracking.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional, global environment.
  • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with both customers and internal and external employees.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement (Return of Experience, process improvements etc.)
  • Knowledge of any configuration management tool and workflow management tool is essential (StarTeam, ClearCase, or similar).

  • Knowledge of Embedded systems.
  • Ability to creatively solve complex problems.
  • Knowledge in Railway Signaling Domain.
