The position

Job description

We’re entering a new phase at ScorePlay: scaling from lighter deployments to highly structured, professional rollouts that meet the technical demands of larger, more complex sports and broadcast organizations.

As our first Deployment Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of technology and customer success. You’ll be the technical lead for deploying, integrating, and implementing our Media Asset Management (MAM) solution at client organizations, from kickoff to go-live. You’ll work directly with customers and internal teams to make complex implementations feel simple, and help shape how we deliver technical value at scale.

What you’ll do :

1. Lead solution deployment & integration

  • Own the end-to-end technical deployment of ScorePlay for our new largest clients, from project kickoff through go-live.

  • Design and execute implementation plans in close collaboration with Customer Success, Tech, Product and Pre-Sales.

  • Configure, integrate, and adapt ScorePlay to fit client workflows — including APIs, SSO, cloud storage, broadcast partners and on-prem / hybrid setups.

  • Operate and monitor media ingest and archive migrations, helping customers bring large volumes of existing content into ScorePlay.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during onboarding, acting as the primary technical point of contact for the customer.

  • Work with Engineering on more complex integration or customisation needs when they arise.

2. Work directly with customers & drive adoption

  • Build trusted relationships with client technical teams (IT, broadcast, media teams, integrators) throughout the deployment.

  • Run technical workshops and working sessions to align on architecture, workflows, and constraints.

  • Support Customer Success with admin / power user enablement so customers can operate ScorePlay confidently once live.

  • Help translate customer needs and constraints into clear technical requirements for internal teams.

3. Shape our deployment playbook & internal processes

  • Help build the playbook for future deployments: standard steps, checklists, documentation, and templates.

  • Identify bottlenecks and recurring issues in implementation, and propose pragmatic improvements to tools and processes.

  • Contribute to internal documentation around best practices for onboarding, integrations, and media migrations.

  • Bring structured feedback from the field to Product and Tech to improve our platform and make deployments smoother over time.

4. Partner across Customer Success, Product & Engineering

  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success during scoping, onboarding and handover to “business as usual”.

  • Work with Pre-Sales to validate what’s been sold is technically feasible and to prepare complex deployments.

  • Coordinate with Product and Engineering when deployment surfaces product gaps or integration challenges.

  • Represent the voice of delivery internally: what it really takes to make a deployment successful for customers.

Why ScorePlay ?

Here are a few signs you might love working at ScorePlay:

  • You want to be hands-on on real-world systems — media, archives, workflows, integrations — not just slideware.

  • You enjoy being the person who owns the result, not just one ticket in the project.

  • You like turning loosely defined projects into clear plans and repeatable steps that others can follow.

  • You’re excited by the idea of being the first Deployment Engineer and helping shape how this function grows.

  • You’re motivated by direct customer impact: seeing world-class sports organizations actually use what you’ve helped deploy.

  • You’re comfortable in a fast-moving environment where not everything is figured out yet, and your experience helps bring structure.

  • You want to join an international, sports-focused team working with top clubs, leagues and media organizations in Paris, New York and beyond.

Preferred experience

  • 5+ years in a technical role (e.g. deployment / implementation engineer, solutions engineer, software engineer, professional services, or similar) in a B2B or SaaS context.

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex enterprise implementations or integrations for external clients.

  • Strong technical skills:

    • Comfortable with APIs, scripting (Python, JavaScript, Bash or similar),

    • Used to working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure),

    • Solid understanding of basic networking and security concepts.

  • Highly organized and proactive, able to juggle multiple projects, manage timelines, and keep stakeholders aligned.

  • Proven ability to work independently in a fast-growing environment, laying foundations for scalable processes rather than just following them.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; able to discuss technical topics with both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Bonus points if you have:

    • Experience in sports, media, broadcast or video workflows

    • A genuine passion for sports and technology

You’ll complete a case study that includes both a technical component and a customer success scenario. After submitting your assignment, you’ll participate in a one-hour session to review your approach, discuss your solutions, and answer any questions.

  • Stage 5: Founder’s Chat

Meet with: Vic, Co-founder & CEO

A conversation with Vic to discuss ScorePlay’s mission, your career aspirations, and your vision for contributing to our deployment and customer success initiatives across EMEA. This is also a chance to ask high-level questions about ScorePlay’s future.
