The position

Job description

As an Account Executive, Broadcast at ScorePlay, you’ll drive new business with sports broadcasters and production houses across Europe — owning complex, multi-stakeholder cycles end-to-end.

This is a consultative sales role — part relationship builder, part deal leader — combining account strategy, executive-level pitching, and rigorous execution from discovery to signature.

You’ll operate a focused book of ~25 named targets, open qualified opportunities, and close new logos while partnering closely with Product, CS, and Marketing to shape our Broadcast & Production motion in Europe.

Key Responsibilities

New Business & Deal Leadership

  • Own the full sales cycle for broadcasters and production companies: discovery, value mapping, ROI, proposals, negotiation, and closing.

  • Build multi-threaded relationships across Production, Content, Digital, IT, and Executive stakeholders.

  • Create mutual close plans, manage legal/commercial steps, and forecast with precision.

Account Strategy & Pipeline Creation

  • Develop tiered account plans for ~25 targets: org maps, incumbent stack, contract end dates, and access strategies.

  • Generate pipeline through events (e.g., IBC), warm intros, and targeted outreach (limited cold).

Consultative Discovery & Storytelling

  • Run structured audits (interviews across Production/Content/Digital/IT) to surface pains and quantify impact.

  • Craft tailored narratives and product demos that resonate with senior non-technical and technical buyers alike.

  • Partner with Solutions/CS on evaluations and proof phases.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with CS on handovers and early adoption to set accounts up for expansion.

  • Feed market insights to Product/Engineering; influence roadmap with clear problem statements from the field.

  • Collaborate with Marketing on case studies, referenceable wins, and event strategy.


Preferred experience

  • 5+ years full-cycle B2B sales, ideally selling into media/broadcast/production environments (broadcasters, production houses, media tech).

  • Proven success leading complex deals and earning credibility with senior stakeholders (up to CEO/Head of Production).

  • Strong consultative skills: multi-persona discovery, business case/ROI, and clear recommendation decks.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building — comfortable with executive meetings, industry events, and long-term nurturing.

  • Fluent English required; German, French, Italian, or Spanish are strong pluses.

And a few bonuses:

  • Existing network within EU broadcasters/production ecosystems.

  • Experience with media tech (live production, contribution, editing, MAM/archives, distribution).

  • Passion for sports and media; familiarity with rights holders, leagues, and federations is a plus.
