In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

Reporting to the 3S Quality Director, the purpose of this role is to maintain the Quality Management System of SGB repair station, to ensure compliance with both EASA & UK CAA 145 regulations, and with EN9100 for Repair activity (SRV-05 process).
This position requires to be the main contact point of Regulatory bodies for Part 145, to provide comprehensive support to the repair station personnel and certifying staff, and to collaborate with the Quality Compliance team and with all areas of Safran Seats GB involved in the maintenance & repair activity.
Member of the Aftermarket Quality Team (includes FR, UK, US, Singapore & Dubai). Support and interaction with all SGB Functions involved in the maintenance & repair activity. Liaison with Regulatory bodies and customers

Key Responsibilities will include:
• Provide support for customer and regulatory (external) audits, to ensure process and procedural compliance to AS9100, CAA UK 145 and EASA 145.
• Protect customers from non-quality, by ensuring that repaired products and practices comply with regulations, customer requirements and Safran standards and promoting a culture of prevention and anticipation
• Develop the Safety culture and SMS maturity within the Repair Station
• Drive continuous improvement, by capitalizing on factual data and
feedback and providing the necessary support for the repair station.
• Undertake other reasonable duties, in line with Customer Support & Services business needs and objectives, which are consistent and
commensurate with the overall purpose of the position.
In addition, there are specific requirements including but not limited to:
• Develop and implement an internal audit programme to ensure compliance against Part 145 regulatory requirements in coordination with Quality Compliance team.
• Support the deployment of the Part 145 Management System across the Repair Station through the implementation and follow-up of internal audits, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
• Support the repair station in the management of exported non-quality. This shall include containment, Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions.
• Promote Safety Culture and manage Safety risks of the Repair Station in liaison with the Safety Reporter and Manager
• Liaison with all areas of the business involved in repair activity, or
Aftermarket as required, on all matters relating to quality systems
• Support the provision of coaching on quality improvement and relevant tools (PDCA, Root cause analysis, 8D), as well as Human Factors training, for Quality Assurance implementation throughout the Customer Support & Services division.
• Undertake both internal and external P145 audits, including process and product audits. Support Part 2


Candidate skills:
Apprenticeship level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline.
Quality background, with experience in MRO (P145), Aviation Safey (SMS) and Human Factor
Ability to communicate and develop good relationship with external stakeholders
(Customers, Authorities), and internal stakeholders in a complex environment (multi cultural, remote management)
Good knowledge of process management
Part 145 auditor
