This Electrical Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for handling all assignments related to the program.

Job Summary:
- Manage the line stoppage related to engineering and prioritize weekly tasks and projects
- Weekly meeting review with Program Support Manager to go over performance and targets
- Maintain a full team staff by recruiting, orienting, and training employees (full time, VIE, intern)
- Lead the team on tasks and projects to meet schedule requirements while on site and off site
-Technical responsibilities include system engineering, analysis, concept development, detailed design including drawing, system build, integration, verification and production support
-Prepares technical sections of customer proposals and project reports
-Assess, synthesize and present the following: quality, engineering issues, and risks of a product and share it with the respective team
- Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, or systems
- Perform Document Analysis
- Provide Technical Shop Support
- Design, Test, and Maintain Test Equipment and Tools
- Interface related to OEM repair standards
- Perform First Article Inspection


Preferred experience

Skills and Knowledge:
-Knowledge of production and repair process in the aeronautic environment
-Knowledge and breakdown / flow down of production and repair procedures
-Knowledge of civil avionics digital interfaces (RS-232, RS-422, A429)
-Knowledge of civil avionics analog interfaces (thermocouple, synchro, shunt, etc) and discrete interfaces
-Knowledge of design of EMI/EMC protections for avionics products
-Experience in analog circuit design (digital is a plus), which includes DC and AC circuits design, DC – DC converter power supply design, constant current source design, FPGAs
-Experience with LED drive circuitry, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming, signal conditioning
-Hands on experience in bench top prototype circuit verification, PCB layout verification, familiar with electrical and electronics test equipment
-Proficiency in frequency and time domain analysis, digital signal processing
-Working knowledge of computer hardware design and interfacing; microcontrollers; embedded communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, ARINC).
-Some knowledge of programmable devices (FPGA, CPLD)
-Working knowledge of various sources of electrical power: batteries, high efficiency DC/DC conversion, power budgeting, 3-phase AC
-Experience with Electronic testing tools (oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc.)
-Basic experience with Enovia or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools would be a plus.
-Basic experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP tools would be a plus
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Points
-Consciousness of the impact of the electronic design on the unit cost and part supply process (e.g. obsolescence)

Education/Experience:
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- English required, French is a plus
- Five years of related experience in civil or military avionics and/or aeronautic in Design Office or Engineering
-Practical experience in aviation will be a plus

- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.
