The Electrical Engineer Intern will be a part of the Engineering Technical Support Team which support the operational maintenance of Safran's Cockpit, Navigation, Computer, and Calculator on the commercial aircraft. The Electrical Engineer intern will be working under the supervision of the Lead Electrical Engineer to support the maintenance of these products.
Essential Job Functions:
• Technical Review of the updated Maintenance Manual and update all the supporting documents
• Assist the Engineer:
o Design of test equipment and tools
o Creating schematic drawings in ORCAD
o Troubleshooting and maintenance of test equipment
o Training technician on the repair of Safran units
• Provide support to technicians such as troubleshooting and technical questions
• Provide weekly summary report of projects and tasks
• Other duties may be assigned.
Required Competencies
Education/Experience :
• Currently majoring in Electrical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Has basic skills in analytical or scientific method
• Has basic knowledge in engineering concepts
• Able to read and analyze schematics and circuits
• Draw schematics using ORCAD Capture
• Familiar with the operation and use of DMM, Function Generator, Counter, Oscilloscope, AC and DC Power Supplies
• Familiar with LED drive circuitry, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) dimming, and signal conditioning
• Familiar with ARINC standards, and other communication standards like RS232 is a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship
