The position

Job description

We are looking for a creative visionary to join our editorial team and help us define the next generation of Roblox hits. This isn’t just about making games; it’s about crafting experiences that millions of players will inhabit, share, and remember.

As our Game Designer, you will be the architect of fun. From the initial spark of an idea to the final layer of polish, you will lead the creative charge—turning bold concepts into fully realized Game Design Documents. You’ll be the bridge between imagination and execution, collaborating with other members of the ideation team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Game Ideation: Identify the “next big thing” and pitch compelling concepts that push the boundaries of the Roblox platform.

  • Game & Level Design: Transform high-level visions into detailed GDDs and level designs that serve as the blueprint for our development team.

  • Management: Work closely with the ideation team, with Game Designers, and Market Analysts to ensure that we produce the right ideas, with the right timing.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Programmers to prototype and refine mechanics. Partner with Artists to ensure visual elements enhance gameplay and narrative.

  • Game Balancing & Progression: Fine-tune systems, pacing, and difficulty to create that “just one more round” feeling.

  • Live Ops Optimization: Analyze player data, funnels, and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement. Iterate on levels and features post-launch to drive retention and engagement.


Preferred experience

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Game Designer or Level Designer, ideally on UGC platforms such as Roblox or Minecraft.

  • Proven experience as a Manager.

  • Strong understanding of level design principles, spatial layout, and player flow.

  • Knowledge of free-to-play design and player-motivation loops.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret player data and optimize gameplay.

  • Fluent in English (written & spoken).

  • Passionate about games, UGC platforms, and player-centered design.
