The position

Job description

We are looking for:

A Senior Accountant who can work independently and manage the accounting process (almost) autonomously, while closely coordinating with an external accounting firm on the following processes:

  • VAT & Tax

  • Payroll

  • Statutory close


Preferred experience

Responsibilities:

•  Process incoming invoices and credit notes on a daily basis to ensure accurate handling.
•  Prepare payment proposals and issue outgoing invoices to facilitate timely payments.
•  Maintain financial journals (current accounts, bank cards, etc.) to enable accurate reporting.
•  Maintain the miscellaneous journal to ensure correct financial reporting.
•  Process incoming and outgoing invoices for a business unit and follow up on payments within a clearly defined timeline to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
•  Coordinate accurate and timely tax and VAT processes in cooperation with the external accounting firm, the accounting manager and/or the CFO to ensure compliance with legal accounting and tax regulations.
•  Prepare and process monthly and quarterly balance sheets and financial statements in compliance with accounting legislation, providing management with accurate data to support decision-making.
•  Support management by offering expert advice in the field of accounting and executing ad-hoc tasks to help achieve organizational objectives.
•  Continuously update and maintain accounting knowledge and technical skills to optimize personal expertise and apply it effectively within the organization.
•  Coordinate and follow up on the statutory year-end closing and financial audit in collaboration with the external auditor and external accounting firm.
