Powell Software is recruiting a Software Quality Assurance Manager.

Powell Software is a fast-growing startup offering a breakthrough technology to design and manage Intranet Portals and Enterprise Digital Workplaces. To support its exponential growth, Powell Software is recruiting a Software Quality Assurance Manager who will partner with the team to deliver best in class solutions for customers.

We are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Manager to test and maintain our software solutions.

What you will do:

You are responsible for identifying, analyzing, and communicating bugs (defects) in software.

Facilitate the removal of defects with software development teams:

Report bugs, create and provide metrics on bugs as they move through the bug cycle.

Communicate the status to all involved departments through email or phone contact.

Report environment changes that effect clients (internal or external) to the CTO.

Update oversee and train team on the knowledge base of code related problems and fixes.

Facilitate fixes through software development lifecycle.

Track where each bug is in the process.

Report turnaround times on all severities.

Track bug trends.

Track and monitor fixes and problems reported.

Create and manage Internal Release Notes (i.e. what bugs where pushed, what was fixed, how many new bugs were created).

Document test use scenarios and processes.

Train team on documentation of processes and scenarii;


Preferred experience

Significant management experience. Ideally 5+ years as a Senior Software Quality Assurance manager

3+ years experience on SharePoint

Established pattern of building strong teams – attracting, hiring, motivating, and retaining the best engineers

Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology and processes

Persistent and inquisitive problem solver, committed to driving quality forward

Outstanding organizational and communication skills (oral, written, and interpersonal) including the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience

Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment

Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills

Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail

B.S. degree or equivalent, relevant experience required. 

French Native& Fluency in english
