The position

Job description

  • Perform as a backend engineer with strong focus on data;
  • Be the bridge between our machine learning engineers and the backend team, communicating needs and possibilities in both;
  • Ensure continuous availability of high quality datasets and data sources to all phases of our machine learning pipelines;
  • Maintain the code base;
  • Work with the iOS team to facilitate the capture of increasingly rich data from the Powder app;
  • Understand the needs of the teams and provide all necessary support.

Preferred experience

  • 5+ years of development experience;
  • Proficient in Go;
  • Extensive experience with SQL;
  • Solid knowledge of one or more clouds: GCP is a plus;
  • Ability to take initiative and employ good judgment;
  • Excellent team-working and communication skills;
  • High attention to detail;
  • Ability to maintain effective cross-team communication;
  • Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and systems is a big plus.
