About the team

You’ll be part of the Planon Solution Expertise Center (PSEC), a collaborative and international team with colleagues in both the Netherlands and India. The team is structured around three core areas:

• Maintenance & support: Troubleshooting and resolving issues in custom-built apps for customers.
• Migration projects: Rebuilding solutions using modern technologies on the Planon platform.
• App development: Creating public and partner-specific apps that extend Planon’s core functionality.

The team operates with a high degree of autonomy and mutual support. Developers pick up tasks based on priority and availability, and a buddy system ensures new hires are supported during onboarding. Daily stand-ups and open communication foster a strong sense of ownership and collaboration.

What will you do?

• As part of this team, you are responsible to keep Planon product related solutions for our customers up to date to the latest standards.
• The team you'll be working with is distributed across the Netherlands and India.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues in custom-built apps, ensuring customer satisfaction and system stability.
• Contribute to migration projects by converting legacy solutions into modern, scalable applications on the Planon platform.
• Communicate directly with customers to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
• Share your insights and ideas to continuously improve our products and development practices.

We’re excited to meet candidates who bring:

• A degree in (Business) Informatics or a related field (Bachelor degree or higher).
• Experience in development (Java or similar), with a willingness to learn our tech stack (e.g., Java EE, JavaScript, TypeScript, jQuery, Angular, HTML, CSS, XML, Git, Co-pilot for coding and Eclipse IDE).
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand both technical and functional aspects of software.
• A proactive, communicative mindset, you enjoy working with customers and colleagues alike.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English is required due to frequent contact with Dutch-speaking clients and stakeholders.
