We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer intern to design an ECG analysis streaming API and its supporting infrastructure for our ECG Software as a service (SaaS) platform.

Job Description :

• Seeking a motivated Backend Software Engineer intern with strong communication skills to lead the project life cycle from design to implementation.

• Initially, you’ll familiarize yourself with user workloads and machine learning analysis pipelines, forming the foundation for designing the API. Understanding the domain and workflows is crucial.

• Responsibilities include re-designing the analysis API using streaming technologies, working across backend levels (API, database, infrastructure, Kubernetes). Studying state-of-the-art solutions from cloud providers like AWS is part of the re-design.

Your responsabilities are :

You will be responsible for re-designing a critical API and workflow of the platform to help meet future scalability requirements. This project will impact most of the stack including the Kubernetes cluster, data storage pipeline, and processing pipeline.

You will be mentored by one of our Senior Software Engineers.

You are the right candidate if :

• You are currently pursuing a master’s degree in Engineering or a related field and are looking for a 5-6 months internship.

• You have knowledge of or are interested in scalable API development.

• You are familiar with and/or interested in Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.

• You are enthusiastic about clean code and good practices, with experience in AWS being a plus.

• You are fluent in spoken and written English and have some knowledge of the French language (you’ll work with native English speakers)
