We are looking for a hands-on Team Lead to oversee both upstream (USP) and downstream (DSP) processes for bacteriophage production at pilot scale. You’ll be leading a team, scaling up production, and ensuring efficient bacteriophage production in line with industry standards. You will play a key role in optimizing DSP methods while managing the upstream processes in collaboration with engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and guide a team of engineers and technicians in upstream and downstream processes, encouraging collaboration and technical growth.

• Hands-on DSP Implementation: Implement and optimize downstream processing, including filtration and purification of bacteriophages.

• Production Scale-Up: Oversee the scale-up of upstream processes to support increased production volumes.

• Collaborative Optimization: Work with R&D and quality teams to ensure both USP and DSP are aligned with production goals and regulatory standards.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that both processes follow GMP and other relevant regulatory guidelines for safe and efficient production.

• Education: MSc or PhD in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or similar fields.

• Experience: Hands-on experience with USP and DSP processes, including fermentation, cell culture, filtration, and purification.

• Proven background in bioprocess scaling and process optimization, especially for bacteriophages or similar biologics.

• Experience in leading and managing teams while balancing technical and leadership responsibilities.

• Solid knowledge of GMP and regulatory compliance in biomanufacturing.

• Innovative individual, able to troubleshoot complex bioprocess challenges.
