The position

Job description

Purpose of the position:

Martell cognac is a strategic brand for Pernod Ricard group, with 2 big geographical scopes: Asia and US/Africa.
US/Africa are a key focus for the brand, as Martell needs to diversify & expand its geographical footprint.
Working on the whole Martell range, the Senior Brand Manager Education & Advocacy
will play a transversal role for the Martell team, with a specific focus on recruitment.

Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager Brand Architecture & Activation Growth Relays, he will be responsible for engaging trade stakeholders to ensure a strong understanding of brand credentials & engaging bartender community. Provide content & tools for all internal spokespersons (mainly Brand Ambassadors worldwide and Trade salesforce) who interact with clients. Become the face of the portfolio to consumers, brand ambassadors, media and the trade.

The role requires strong story-telling and presentation capabilities, with ability to engage diversified audiences. He will collaborate with many profiles: Extended Marketing team from Brand Architecture, through Digital to Hospitality team in Cognac. But also working in close collaboration with a multi-cultural network of local Brand Ambassadors, and talented & influential bartenders.
He will certainly be passionate about the brand, cognac and spirits industry, willing to share his passion and to create long-lasting emotional connections between Martell and the people he meets along the way.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

BUILD AND STRENGHTEN MARTELL BRAND EDUCATION

  • Set the strategy, develop educational programs and training materials for internal teams, trade partners, and consumers to deepen understanding and appreciation our brands within
  • Collaborate with all teams, global and local, to produce content or experiences that foster recruitment through edutainment, or more expert content when relevant
  • Map and contribute to the most influential competitions & ratings
  • Represent the Brand whenever need, internally and externally (Customer, Experts, Press…)
  • Manage A&P budget

COORDINATE AND ANIMATE OUR GLOBAL BRAND AMBASSADOR NETWORK

  • Advocate for local Brand Ambassadors and contribute to their recruitment & mentoring
  • Manage relationship with our local Brand Ambassadors network through Monthly meeting, best practices sharing, training..
  • Plan and organize the annual Brand Ambassador summit in France
  • Facilitate relationship between Global and local Brand Ambassadors (market visits, customer relationships..)

MANAGE AND NURTURE THE RELATIONSHIP WITH OUR GLOBAL MASTER MIXOLOGIST

  • Negotiate and follow the contrat & agenda of our talent (consultancy hours, markets visits, press interviews..)
  • Be the key contact in the team, and coordinate all requests/outputs with different stakeholders (Marketing, PR, Indigo, markets..)

BUILD STRATEGY TO FOSTER BARTENDERS & KOLS ADVOCACY GLOBALLY

  • Identify Key bartenders & opinion leaders around the world, in tight collaboration with markets
  • Plan and organize from A to Z the Martell Global bartender summit to inspire Bartenders and turn them into long-term advocates for the brand
  • Identify key Trade shows & develop relevant experiences bringing to life the Brand platform, in close collab with markets (ex: Tales of Cocktails..)
  • Collaborate tightly with global SIP Pernod Ricard team

You have a master's degree in marketing, communication, media etc.

You have at least 5 years' professional experience in marketing, ideally in

prestige segment and/or wine & spirits sector

You are fluent in both English and French
