The position

Job description

This is a permanent contract based at ORIS offices near the Part-Dieu train station in Lyon, where you will join a collaborative multi-cultural and ambitious team. This position is open to RQTH status also.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, and Tech. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, embracing agile principles and leveraging the Kanban framework, while exploring cutting-edge AI technologies and frameworks. Your missions:

Dashboard & Reporting Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Tableau to support product features, internal analytics, and consulting deliverables.

  • Translate product development requirements into analytical datasets, visualizations, and reporting structures.

  • Continuously improve existing dashboards to ensure clarity, usability, and meaningful insights for stakeholders.

  • Support the embedding of analytics dashboards within the SaaS platform for internal and external users.

Internal Analytics & KPI Reporting

  • Develop and maintain company-wide reporting dashboards tracking key metrics across departments such as:

    • Product usage and platform performance

    • Customer engagement and adoption

    • Operational and financial KPIs

    • Sustainability and carbon-related metrics

  • Work with department stakeholders to define, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Deliver regular analytical insights and reporting to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Data Integration, Collection & Synchronization

  • Gather data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, or web scraping

  • Contribute to the integration of data from the SaaS platform (AWS / PostgreSQL) into the Business Intelligence environment.

  • Support the development and maintenance of data pipelines connecting the platform, external sources, and Tableau.

  • Assist in managing data synchronization, transformation, and migration workflows using tools such as Airbyte, DBT and Python scripts

Data Quality & Governance

  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the data in business intelligence solutions

  • Collaborate with data engineers to maintain data integrity along through the whole data lifecycle

AI-Driven Analytics & Continuous Innovation

  • Continuously explore AI and advanced analytics techniques to improve the way data is analyzed, interpreted, and visualized.

  • Experiment with AI-assisted data analysis, automated insight generation, and intelligent reporting workflows.

  • Evaluate emerging AI-powered BI features (e.g., Tableau AI capabilities, predictive analytics, natural language querying).


Preferred experience

Skills Required:

  • Good understanding of Business Intelligence concepts and how data supports decision-making.

  • Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, etc.  for building dashboards and visualizations.

  • Basic proficiency in data analysis and reporting, including interpreting datasets and identifying trends.

  • Understanding of data modeling fundamentals and data warehousing concepts.

  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and modern data pipelines (e.g., Airbyte, dbt, or similar tools).

  • Ability to write SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation, preferably with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python for data engineering and analysis.

  • Proficiency in data quality assessment, cleansing, and validation.

  • Familiarity with Agile development practices such as Scrum or Kanban..

  • Basic understanding of APIs and how to retrieve data from external services.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques, machine learning concepts and their application in BI for predictive analytics.

  • Familiarity with Git version control, including basic branching and collaboration workflows.

  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts (e.g., GitLab pipelines).

  • Experience participating in data projects, hackathons, or open-source contributions.

  • Experience with data visualization best practices and storytelling with data.

  • Awareness of cloud environments such as AWS and common data services used in data pipelines
