Orano Med is a biotechnology company owned by Orano. Our ambition is to develop a new generation of targeted cancer therapies using the unique properties of lead-212, a rare alpha-emitting radioisotope with highly promising medical properties.
We are looking for a Peptide Chemistry Scientist who will report directly to the Peptide Chemistry R&D Director.
Responsabilities :
Independently design and synthesize peptide molecules using state-of-the-art technologies.
Analyze screening results and perform Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) and Structure-Property Relationship (SPR) analysis.
Collaborate closely with Biology and Pharmacology teams to ensure timely preparation of compounds to support the screening cascade.
Stay current with developments in the field of peptides chemistry and Targeted Radio-Therapies
Present research findings and project updates to project teams.
Ensure a high level of productivity in the laboratory setting.
Provide effective supervision to lab associates, ensuring safe laboratory practices and offering guidance for their professional development.
Requirements :
PhD in Organic Chemistry with a minimum of 3 years of postdoctoral or industrial experience working with peptides.
Expertise in using parallel peptide synthesizers.
Experience in designing peptides to modulate physicochemical and pharmacological properties.
Strong knowledge of analytical techniques/instrumentation for peptide purification and characterization, such as Reverse Phase HPLC/UPLC, MALDI-TOF and Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS).
Strong laboratory presence with experience mentoring scientists.
Experience working on targeted cancer therapy modalities is a plus.
Solid written and oral communication skills, along with enthusiasm, integrity, self-motivation, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
