Your day at NTT DATA
The Administrative HR Assistant has some basic administrative experience to provide HR-specific and general administrative and secretarial support.

This role provides direct administrative support to the HR department and works cooperatively with team members to support the completion of HR objectives.

This role assists with all administrative duties required by the HR management team and attends to or escalates more complex employee queries for resolution.

Working under general supervision, the Administrative HR Assistant assists with administrative tasks relating to (but not limited to) employee onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, recruitment, employee records maintenance, and HR policy implementation.

Keyresponsibilities:

  • Maintains employee records and updates HR databases.
  • Supports human resources department by screening interview applicants.
  • Documents and tracks human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Performs benefit and compensation administration.
  • Supports the coordination of all administrative and logistics related to the recruitment process including conducting pre-employment checks and preparing employment offers.
  • Supports the coordination of all training related logistics and coordinates and executes relevant activities for learnership and graduate programs.
  • Assists with payroll preparation by providing relevant data, like absences, bonus, and leaves.
  • Prepares paperwork for HR policies and procedures.
  • Processes employees’ requests and provides relevant information.
  • Supports the coordination of HR projects, meetings and training seminars.
  • Supports the coordination of onboarding for new employees by sharing onboarding packs and explaining company policies.
  • Performs any other related task as required.

To thrive in this role, you need to have:

  • Some knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices across various areas such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Basic ability to use HRIS systems and other HR-related software for efficient data management, reporting, and analytics.
  • Displays organizational skills to manage HR tasks, processes, and documentation.
  • Displays time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Shows willingness to learn HR processes, ensuring data accuracy, documentation quality, and compliance.
  • Developing written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey HR concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Displays ability to support HR projects from inception to completion.

Academic qualifications and certifications:

  • High School Certification or related qualification preferred.
  • Completion or working towards completion of a diploma or degree in a Human Resources field or similar is highly beneficial.

Required experience:

  • Some work experience as an HR administrative assistant or HR administrator.
  • Some basic administrative support experience.
  • Some basic familiarity with HRIS software and other HR-related software tools.
