The position

Job description

Role Summary

We are looking for the next great strong senior storyboard artist, He/She will acts as a direct extension of the Cinematic director, narrative team and Art Director for all matters related to the visual direction storyboard for animatics and cutscenes. He/She (Contract) supports the project during a defined production phase by delivering high-quality visual concepts and storyboards that clearly communicate artistic and narrative intent, while supporting narrative and cinematic teams for our next AAA Dark fantasy game. The candidate we need to show a strong portfolio showing visual range, style application, and quality across game art disciplines.

  • Responsibilities: The candidate will moslty create storyboards

  • Team composition: cinematics director, narrative team, Intermediate storyboarder

  • Team work: He/She will work closely with the narrative team, the cinematics director and art director

Core Mandate (3 main missions)

  • Create storyboards for:

    • In-game cutscenes

    • Cinematics

    • Animatics

Success Criteria (What are we expecting from you in the next months)

  • Translate scripts and creative intentions into readable sequences

  • Define composition, camera, rhythm, and action clarity

  • Collaborate closely with narrative, cinematic, animation and VFX teams

  • Adapt work to production and technical constraints

  • Iterate efficiently based on feedback

Preferred experience

Hard skills

  • Mandatory (if a candidate doesn’t have it in his/her background, the hiring process will not continue)

    • Industry Experience: ~6–10+ years in game art roles or movies industry

    • Strong drawing, composition, ligthing base intention and perspective skills (Characters, Environments, Props)

    • Solid understanding of visual storytelling and cinematic language (Keyframes)

    • Ability to deliver clear, production-oriented concepts (not purely illustrative)

    • Proficiency with industry-standard tools (Photoshop, Procreate, Storyboard Pro or equivalent)

    • Comfortable working within structured pipelines and tight timelines

  • Nice to have (if the candidate doesn’t have it, we can continue the hiring process)

    • 3D knowledge
