The position

Job description

We are looking for our Group Tax Senior Manager to provide strategic and operational leadership for Nexans' tax activities globally, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax efficiency, managing risks, and driving digital transformation within the tax function.

 

 

Your areas of responsabilities will be : 

 

Tax management & tax advice :

  • Provide support and advice to Business groups & functions on tax aspects of business operations
  • Support execution of Nexans’ tax strategy and risk management policy
  • Participate to M&A and disposal operations (tax due diligence; legal & fiscal structuring of transactions)
  • Advise on internal reorganizations and simplifications (mergers, contribution of assets, carve-outs …)
  • Advise on French R&D tax credit together with external consulting firm

 

Transfer pricing :

  • Lead drafting of yearly Group Transfer pricing documentation (Master File)
  • Prepare group annual transfer pricing return (Country by country report)
  • Prepare group annual documentation supporting invoicing of central costs
  • Ensure transfer pricing policies and processes are implemented
  • Support BGs in complying with their transfer pricing obligations (local file)

 

Compliance :

  • Manage digital internal tax reporting process (twice a year) and increase tech intensity of tax function through internal digital transformation
  • Identify corporate new tax obligation for the group (e.g. OECD Pillar two) and analyze tax impacts and prepare compliance with tax advisors and consolidation department
  • Lead management of French tax consolidated group (15 entities), review individual and consolidated French tax returns, ensure they are timely and accurately filed to tax authorities
  • Perform tax watch and inform subsidiaries of major tax changes

 

Tax audits and litigations:

  • Manage corporate tax aspects of tax audits and tax litigations of French entities (including discussion and communication with tax administration)
  • Be key point of contact of foreign Nexans entities, to support them in case of local tax audit and litigation (in particular on transfer pricing issues, central costs reallocation, R&D financing …)

 

 

Your profile : 

 

Education :

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Taxation, Business Administration, or Law.

Experience :

  • 10–12 years of experience in international taxation, transfer pricing, and corporate tax within in-house tax departments or tax law firms.
  • Proven expertise in managing complex tax projects and compliance in a multicultural environment.

Skills :

  • Strong technical expertise in tax and transfer pricing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex tax concepts effectively to non-tax professionals.
  • Experience in handling tax audits, disputes, and negotiations.
  • Project management capabilities, with a focus on digital transformation.

Language Proficiency :

  • Fluent in English.
