The Continuous Improvement Manager is part of the Engineering Process Department and reports to the Methods Manager.
He plays a central role in optimization and support within the factory, acting as an agent of change and continuous improvement.
Their main responsibilities are:
HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
The main responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Engineer are as follows:
* Driver of improvement: You are one of the driving forces behind making the factory more efficient in terms of quality, productivity, costs, and safety.
* Analysis & Resolution: You identify, analyze, and prioritize opportunities for improvement based on industrial data (processes, operational indicators, rejects, excessive material consumption). You resolve operational problems using tools such as 5 Whys, PDCA, and 8D.
* Lean Deployment: You implement Lean methods (5S, flow, workstations) in the field with the teams.
* Training & Standardization: You design and lead training courses related to Lean methods. You support operational teams (operators, technicians, supervisors) in applying continuous improvement methods and defined standards.
* Projects & Digitalization: You will lead or contribute to industrial projects (new equipment, line modifications, etc.). You will integrate digitalization and Industry 4.0 levers into improvement projects and process evolution discussions.
* Collaboration: You will work with all departments (Production, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure overall efficiency.
