Job Description

This position's role and responsibilities shall receive, process, transport, document, and disburse parts and inventory. Activities shall include the following specified below. 

What Your Day-to- Day Responsibilities Include: 

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments with carriers’ or freight manifest or log for ground, overnight, express, and freight less than truckload deliveries from various carriers.   

  • Handle various size boxes, shipping containers, sorting bins and recycle materials weighing up to fifty (50) pounds within non-conformance receiving parts. 

  • Collect package and inspect for exterior damage, bill of lading, packing slip documentation, and part description.  Discrepancies shall be documented and reported to the Operations Manager.  

  • Verify Bill of Lading (“BOL”) from various carriers, visual component inspection, documents. 

  • Scan BOL enters component data in the PRIMS and IBM AS/400 inventory system. 

  • Receive parts and inspect for damage caused by dealer handling/packaging or by carrier during transportation and for soiled or improperly drained components. 

  • Digital photos shall document damaged, soiled, or improperly drained components for dealer review or counseling. 

  • For damage or lost packages, a claim shall be filed with carrier to investigate for the damage or to locate the package.  A lost package claim shall be up to the declared value of the package contents. 

  • Maintain forklift operator certification with proper use, maintenance, and safety training. 

  • Maintain filing system for accurate daily shipping, receiving records and disbursement reports. 

  • Disburse and arrange shipments of predetermined parts to NHQ, Hyundai affiliates and/or HMC in South Korea. 

  • Identify and quarantine collection of new releases of vehicle model year warranty replacement parts for HMA engineers to inspect quality, performance, and safety. 

  • Fulfill regional parts inspection requests for target dealers, HMC collection requirements, vehicle campaign and recall support. 

  • Sort various parts and recycles metals in Area C for salvage and recycler pickups. 

  • Communicate limited dealer interactions with shipments. 

  • Update and record all inbound shipments in the IBM AS/400 inventory system each day.  

  • Document all inbound and outbound phone, email, fax, and correspondence regarding dealer support, inquires, shipping, and policy concerns.  

  • Collect and sort parts for disbursement.  Disbursement reports and documents shall be created and archived.   

  • Evaluate inventory storage, controls, and bin system processes to increase warehouse efficiency. 

  • Maintain dealer file for all shipments, debit appeals, and other documentation. 

  • Maintain shipping and parts received records and filing system daily. 

  • Store all WTC records onsite per HMA retention policy requirements.   

  • Coordinate the disburse and pick up of parts to the HMA National Service Garage (NSG).   

  • Prepare and transfer bill of lading and parts invoice for disbursed parts to the carrier or customs brokerage for overseas shipment.  

  • Contact dealers regarding high priority parts for instructions on expediting processing time, shipping method, or freight services.  

  • Expedite all repair order collections when necessary.  

  • Perform all carrier activity such as creating a shipment, tracking and shipping warranty or remanufactured parts using carrier website, internet shipping services, and online shipping tools. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 


Preferred experience

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future . 

  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate may not have been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At MSXi, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $20 to $22 hourly based on current experience.
