About the Role

As an Applied AI, Prototyping & Automations Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of Mistral AI’s internal innovation.

You’ll design, build, and deploy AI-powered applications and automation systems that enhance our products and streamline internal workflows. This role is for builders, hackers, and problem-solvers who want to bridge the gap between AI research, engineering, and real-world impact, who like interacting daily with product users.

In this role, you’ll manage daily relations involving multiple stakeholders (corporate, research, product, business, HR) from all around the world.

What You’ll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and internal tools using

- Design and implement automated workflows, internal tools, and AI-driven processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Build and integrate AI models (LLMs, RAG, agents) into full-stack applications, ensuring they are performant, scalable, and user-friendly.

- Work closely with AI researchers, product teams, corporate teams and customers to translate users requirements into technical solutions.

- Contribute to open-source projects and internal tooling to enhance Mistral’s AI platform.

About You

- You are fluent in English.

- You have between 0-5y of experience

- You have experience with LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, or agentic systems (e.g., LangChain, Hugging Face, Mistral models)

- You are proficient in Python

- You are proficient in TypeScript, React/NextJS, NodeJS, and modern web frameworks.

- You’re expert workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, n8n, Power Automate) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)

- You hold strong communication skills with an ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms with technical and non-technical audiences

- You have a problem-solving mindset and can tackle ambiguous challenges to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

- You have strong collaboration skills and can explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- You have a passion for innovation, exploring new technologies, and improving existing systems.
