The position

Job description

As a QA Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in making sure our AI agents, recruiter tools, and candidate experiences are reliable, fast, and delightful. You’ll be hands-on across the stack, combining manual testing with smart automation to catch bugs early, prevent regressions, and keep quality high as we move fast.

You will:

  • Design and execute detailed manual test plans for new features across our web apps and backend services.

  • Build and maintain automated test suites (E2E, integration, regression) to ensure coverage as our product grows.

  • Partner with engineers, PMs, and designers early in the dev cycle to identify edge cases and clarify acceptance criteria.

  • Own and improve our QA processes—raise the bar on how we test, track, and resolve issues.

  • Create clear bug reports with strong reproduction steps and root-cause insights.

  • Advocate for quality with a pragmatic mindset—focus on impact, not perfection.

This is a high-ownership role in a fast-paced team. You’ll help us scale quality without slowing down speed, and your work will directly impact recruiters and candidates using our product every day.

Preferred experience

You might be a strong fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in QA or test engineering, with exposure to both manual and automated testing.

  • Are comfortable writing and maintaining tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.

  • Have solid understanding of software development workflows, especially in modern web and API-heavy environments.

  • Love getting into the details—you’re methodical, curious, and great at spotting edge cases others miss.

  • Communicate clearly and collaborate well across engineering, product, and design.

  • Care deeply about user experience and have a high bar for reliability.

Bonus points if you:

  • Have experience testing AI or ML-powered products.

  • Have built or scaled QA systems from scratch in a startup or high-growth environment.

  • Are familiar with CI/CD pipelines and can debug flaky tests or setup issues.

Recruitment process

We move fast — while making sure it’s a great match on both sides. Here’s what to expect:

  • Founder Interview – 45 minutes
Deep dive with our CPO, Ben, focused on vision, builder mentality, and your appetite to be part of a breakout company.

  • QA Case Study – 1 hour
You’ll collaborate with our team on a realistic QA scenario, followed by a discussion around your approach to quality and scale.

  • Value Fit – 30 minutes
Meet our CEO, Max, who will assess your fit with our values and operating principles.

  • Reference Checks
Short conversations with 2 people you’ve worked closely with; the more senior, the better.

  • Final Wrap-Up
An offer call (and ideally celebration!)
