Your Team:

You will join the "Colibri" team, in charge of the kick-stage of the launcher. This kick-stage mission is to increase the performance of the Maia launcher. It will in the future offers In-Orbit Mobility services, such as debris removal, satellite relocation and deorbitation.

As a member of this agile team, you will have a lot of interactions with your teammates, but also with the other teams of the company, and will be able to learn and exchange with experts of the space industry.

Your mission:

your main objective will be to reproduce by analysis the behaviour of mechanical samples (bonded riveted joints) using test data.
A second step will be to devise a modelling (and associated failure criteria) simple enough to be integrated into large scale system level models while still reproducing the behaviour of the joint.

Keep in mind that this mission is the baseline of the internship. Your role might evolve depending on the team's priorities, your competences and your interests.

Requirements:

Your profile:

You are a student enrolled in a mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering degree (Bac +3/+4/+5).

Your skills:

  • Required

    • mechanical engineering training

    • knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and associated tools

    • autonomy

  • Desired

    • speak both French and English

    • experience on HyperMesh 

    • experience on bonded joint design

    • you are passionate about the space domain, especially the new space ecosystem

    • familiar with agile project management.

Conditions 

  • 3/4 months from June/July 2026

  • Location : La Défense/Courbevoie (potential business trips to Vernon in Normandie and/or Rennes in Brittany)

The company allows home office when it is compatible with your responsibilities.
