Join our Packaging teams at the UXDesign Lab as a Intern CMF DESIGNER (COLOURS, MATERIALS & FINISHES DESIGNER ) !

Our team of designers, experts in packaging&product design, experience design and CMF, are dedicate and passionate about creating the best sustainable and desirable Packagings of the future !

As a CMF Design intern within the L’Oreal Group, your mission is to create innovative and impactful color, material, and finish designs that align with the brand vision.

Incorporate a strong understanding of sensoriality into the CMF design process to create products that not only look good, but also feel good to the customer. This includes considering factors such as texture, grip, and overall sensory experience when developing designs. The CMF design intern has to invent the codes of sustainability and desirability by taking a holistic approach that considers both the aesthetic appeal and environmental impact of the product.

EACH DAY AS PART OF THIS CREATIVE DREAM TEAM, YOU CAN EXPECT TO:

  1. Inspire the UXDesign team on the day to day.
  2. Conceptualize and develop creative and innovative CMF proposals that are aligned with the brand’s vision and reinforce the brand identity, in order to imagine their future visions.
  3. As a creative spirit, collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and engineering to ensure seamless integration of CMF design proposals into the product development process.
  4. Create Design trends linked to consumer insights to bring new ideas and create new visions for the 4 divisions of the Group.
  5. Work closely with Packaging Science Center, Innovation and suppliers to imagine the finishes of the tomorrow’s materials.


Preferred experience

Your Profile :

  • HERE’S HOW YOU WILL HAVE A ROLE TO PLAY IN IT:
    1. You identify Big CMF trends over the world ( US,UE,ASIA ) and translate them into CMF reports.

    2. You respond to project briefs through creative CMF proposals.

    3. You create innovative CMF concepts linked to Brand’s DNA to respond to consumer needs, in collaboration Operations, Marketing teams and R&I.

    4. You inspire all the Group by explaining through CMF works the future of desirable finishes linked to the sustainable commitments of the Group.

    THE SKILLS THAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
    • Good knowledge in CMF design, ideally in the packaging, automotive or luxury products fields, but not mandatory.
    • Good knowledge in product design
    • English fluency.
    • Technical expertise: the CMF designer has a deep understanding of materials, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
    • Creative vision: the CMF designer is able to bring a creative vision to the product, considering the brand identity and target market. He/She should be able to conceptualize unique ideas for color, materials, and finishes to create a memorable product.
    • Strong communication skills: the CMF designer has excellent communication skills to present, as Moodboard, 3d renders, reports, in order to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers, engineers, and manufacturers.
    • Leadership skills: the CMF designer provides clear guidance, inspire creativity, and facilitate team collaboration.
    • Industry knowledge: the CMF designer stays up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the industry. He/She attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to remain informed and bring new ideas to the team!

    • “Make it happen” mindset.
    • SOFTWARES TO MASTER : Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Keyshot (or another rendering software) , Miro, Powerpoint.
