Job description

Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!

Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.

We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone.

It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.

We are looking for a proactive and motivated teammate to join our Sales Channels and Retention product team within the Commercials global product group. This team integrates all aspects of Kraken that facilitate customer acquisition and retention for our clients, including Affiliates and Sales Partners Management, Referrals and Rewards, Loyalty Program, etc.

As a Senior Product Manager, you’ll be accountable for the strategy of the team as a whole and responsible for multiple products in the Sales Channels space. To be successful you’ll definitely need to be a self-starter: someone who sees a problem and can’t help but want to fix it! You’ll be well organised, working methodically and clearly to ensure problems go from inception to solution.

What you'll do

  • Own the strategy for the Sales Channels & Retention team, bringing together existing solutions and shaping future opportunities.
  • Leading and influencing: together with the team Tech Lead, you’ll need to create a strong sense of purpose and mission for the development team, aligning the products vision to the overall group strategy and advocating for the product in the organisation
  • Solve complex problems: cut through ambiguity, facilitate data collection from multiple sources, analyse diverse inputs, experiment to validate hypotheses, and design practical solutions.
  • Build deep product knowledge: quickly get up to speed on current products, engage with clients and users, and translate insights into a clear vision and roadmap.
  • Planning, delivery, validation: you’ll need to prioritise work to maximise business value, apply agile principles pragmatically and collaborate with the team to ensure effective and efficient delivery, while mitigating risks and reducing dependencies
  • Stakeholders Management: you’ll deal with a broad set of stakeholders, with whom you’ll have to collaborate and nurture trusted relationships to facilitate your team efforts to meet product goals and vision
  • What you'll need

  • Effective communicator: strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate complex concepts in a way that the targeted audience can follow and understand
  • System thinker: ability to think from a system point of view, deal with complexity and can manage ambiguity adopting effective approaches
  • Strategic mindset: ability to think strategically and align product initiatives with the long-term goals of the organisation
  • Entrepreneurial spirit: demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, with a willingness to take risks, experiment with new ideas, and drive innovation within the product portfolio
  • Customer-centric approach: commitment to understanding and prioritising customer needs, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Data-driven decision-making: proficiency in leveraging data analytics and insights to drive product strategy and decision-making
  • Innovative problem solver: proven track record of creatively solving complex problems and overcoming obstacles in product development
  • Market awareness: demonstrated understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and customer needs to inform product decisions
  • Adaptability and flexibility: ability to adapt to changing priorities, market conditions, and organisational dynamics in a fast-paced environment
