Job description

Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!

Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.

We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone.

It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.

Kraken Customer

What we do: build the most AI-driven, innovative, forward-thinking platform for energy management. From optimizing resources to delivering cost-effective, exceptional customer experiences through advanced Customer Information Systems (CIS), billing, meter data management, CRM, and AI-driven communications, Kraken is powering the next wave of innovation in the energy industry.

Why we do it: future energy will not look like energy as we know it today. We need to not just think about our future, but build for it. Now.

We’re hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead our CPQ (Configure - Price - Quote) capabilities for C&I and B2B clients - the workflows that power how utilities generate leads, negotiate, price, approve, sign, and activate large commercial energy contracts. This is a high-impact, complex, and deeply strategic product area. You’ll own a critical part of Kraken’s B2B ecosystem and shape how global utilities manage multi-million-euro commercial deals.

Your mission: build the CPQ capabilities that give Kraken a decisive advantage in the global C&I market. You will design a product so flexible, so fast, and so robust that utilities choose Kraken because of how well it enables them to acquire and retain business customers.

What you'll own:

  • You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end sales journey for commercial and industrial customers, including:
  • Lead & opportunity management across multiple sales channels
  • Configurable negotiation workflows and internal approvals
  • Pricing, quoting, and commercial rules engines
  • E-signature flows, contract generation, and activation
  • Ensuring every quote is accurate, auditable, and aligned to pricing strategy
  • Driving global scale and consistency across markets and clients
  • This is not just feature ownership, you’ll shape a multi-year vision, identify new opportunities, and guide how all Commercials capabilities work together.

    What you'll do:

  • Define and drive the CPQ product strategy, aligning it with Commercials and Kraken’s broader roadmap
  • Build strong alignment across engineering, design, delivery and client stakeholders - even in ambiguity.
  • Lead discovery with utilities globally to understand their B2B and C&I sales processes and design solutions that scale.
  • Translate complex commercial operations into simple, intuitive workflows
  • Partner with engineering on architectural decisions, tradeoffs, and long-term technical strategy..
  • Support high-stakes client migrations, ensuring smooth launches of CPQ in new markets.
  • Mentor other PMs and raise the overall product culture within Commercials and the wider Kraken org.
  • Communicate clearly and proactively - with written clarity that cuts through noise and Slack chaos.
  • Say no when necessary, pushing for focus over scope creep.
  • You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Have 5+ years in product management, ideally in enterprise SaaS, energy, fintech, or CRM/CPQ systems.
  • Love making sense of messy, high-impact workflows that blend pricing, data, rules, and UX
  • Are comfortable diving into details - but can also communicate a clear, inspiring vision.
  • Are a strategic thinker who can anticipate long-term implications and guide multi-market solutions.
  • Enjoy working with enterprise clients and navigating competing priorities with firmness and clarity.
  • Make decisions quickly, bring stakeholders along, and avoid consensus paralysis.
  • Are open to travel around 1 week per month (EU but also APAC and NA upon needs).
  • Want your work to directly accelerate global decarbonisation.
  • Kraken is a certified Great Place to Work in France, Germany, Spain, Japan and Australia. In the UK we are one of the Best Workplaces on Glassdoor with a score of 4.7. Check out our Welcome to the Jungle site (FR/EN) to learn more about our teams and culture.
