Job description

Help us use technology to make a big green dent in the universe!

Kraken powers some of the most innovative global developments in energy.

We’re a technology company focused on creating a smart, sustainable energy system. From optimising renewable generation, creating a more intelligent grid and enabling utilities to provide excellent customer experiences, our operating system for energy is transforming the industry around the world in a way that benefits everyone.

It’s a really exciting time in energy. Help us make a real impact on shaping a better, more sustainable future.

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to accelerate international growth for Kraken Field and Assets. This is a high-impact sales role for strategic hunters who thrive in fast-moving environments and are motivated by opening new markets and driving meaningful commercial outcomes.

In this role, you will be responsible for the expansion of Kraken Field, acting as the face of the product with energy suppliers and large-scale installer organisations. You will sell complex, enterprise-grade software solutions at a time of rapid evolution across product capability, pricing, and target markets, requiring agility and strong relationship-building skills.

You’ll play a key role in our mission to make sustainable living accessible and affordable.

What you'll do:

  • Spearhead international expansion for Kraken Field and Assets.
  • Act as a "360 Hunter," managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting leads to technical discovery and closing deals.
  • Serve as the face of Kraken Field in new markets, selling complex software solutions to energy suppliers and large-scale installer companies.
  • Spend significant time on the ground in international markets.
  • Navigate board-level sales while maintaining the "grit" to handle your own admin and CRM hygiene in HubSpot.
  • Engage with CTOs and COOs to discuss software integrations, APIs, and operational workflows.
  • Handle the "nitty-gritty" of complex energy deals rather than simply selling "off the shelf" products.
  • What you'll need:

  • The International "Black Book": A deep, existing network of senior decision-makers in the Energy sector outside of the UK (e.g., Europe, APAC, or the Americas).
  • 360 Hunter Mindset: A love for the thrill of the hunt, including lead prospecting and closing.
  • International Mobility: Excitement about spending significant time in international markets.
  • Start-Up Mentality: A flexible and adaptive mindset suited for a product in its startup phase.
  • Technical Literacy: The ability to talk confidently about software integrations, APIs, and operational workflows with technical leadership.
  • Seniority with Grit: The ability to navigate board-level sales without considering CRM hygiene or admin tasks "below your pay grade".
  • "Get Shit Done" Attitude: High-growth energy and a focus on individual sales over corporate bureaucracy.
  • It would be great if you had:

  • Domain Expertise: A proven track record selling Field Services Management (FSM) or Asset Management software.
  • Fluency in a second language such as German, Spanish, French, or Japanese.
  • Kraken is a certified Great Place to Work in France, Germany, Spain, Japan and Australia. In the UK we are one of the Best Workplaces on Glassdoor with a score of 4.7. Check out our Welcome to the Jungle site (FR/EN) to learn more about our teams and culture.

Are you ready for a career with us? We want to ensure you have all the tools and environment you need to unleash your potential. If you have any specific accommodations or a unique preference, please contact us at inclusion@kraken.tech and we'll do what we can to customise your interview process for comfort and maximum magic!

Whoever you are, if you like one of our jobs, we encourage you to apply as you might just be the candidate we hire. Across Kraken, we're looking for genuinely decent people who are honest and empathetic.
