As a Solution Architect, you will take the lead in defining complex technology solutions for our banners across Europe. You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to shape high‑level solution designs, guide delivery teams, and ensure alignment with our architecture standards, technology strategy, and business objectives. What’s the job?
- Own the creation and documentation of architectural decisions, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements and appropriate governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to produce clear, end‑to‑end high‑level designs that integrate with existing systems and adhere to architecture principles.
- Conduct analysis of existing systems and technologies, recommending improvements and exploring innovative solutions.
- Lead and manage product selection processes to ensure the right technologies are chosen to meet business capability needs.
- Provide technical leadership to project teams, guiding solution implementation and promoting the use of cloud‑native, AI technologies and architectural patterns.
- Act as the key liaison between business and technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity of requirements, communication, and expected outcomes.
- Work closely with product, engineering, and end‑user communities to support the delivery of cohesive, high‑quality solutions.
What you’ll bring - Strong understanding of architecture frameworks, reference architectures, and designing across business, data, application, and technology domains.
- Experience architecting solutions across cloud providers, SaaS platforms, and in‑house systems, ideally within a retail environment.
- Knowledge of cloud‑native integration patterns and how to apply AI to drive measurable business outcomes.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience designing solutions in both agile and waterfall delivery environments, working effectively with multiple third‑party solution providers.
