Overview

Kingfisher Sourcing Eastern Europe Sp. z o.o. is a buying office of the Kingfisher Group an international home improvement company with nearly 1 300 stores across Europe, supported by a team of 78 000 professionals. We are looking for candidates to join our team as Production Lead

What’s the job?

Accountabilities

Main Activities:

  • Team Management : Manage the production engineer within the region, including training, performance review
  • Strategy : Develop local production strategy according to product development, range and sourcing 3 years plan
  • Reporting : Generate all local production related reports and monitoring performance, KPI’s
  • Organization : Organize and schedule work assignments to achieve maximum efficiency and meet objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Production assessment for new suppliers/factories and launch technical comments for selection of new supplier/factory with related peer functions.
  • Execute the Production Process Qualification (PPQ)
  • Map out Critical to Production (CTP) from the input of Critical to Quality (CTQ)
  • Execute PPQ activities and measure the results.
  • Follow up PPQ actions till close.
  • Execute the Production Process Improvement for Leadtime (PPIT)
  • Based on the input and request from Sourcing or Quality or Supply Chain, Conduct the PPIT projects, measure and communicate the result in time with relevant stakeholders
  • Follow up the action planed implemented in factory.
  • Execute the Production Process Improvement for Capacity (PPIC)
  • Based on the input and request from Supply Chain or Sourcing/Group Buyer, conduct the PPIC projects and/or Capacity Stress Test.
  • Follow up and execute PPIC projects in factories.
  • Execute the Production Review and Optimization (PRO)
  • Based on the needs from business, execute the PRO activity for new products.
  • Communicate with peers and related teams to execute PRO.


  • Work in collaboration with the product engineer and provide all manufacturing details to develop the product in the most efficient way
  • Provided manufacturing/production capability of factories and limitations
  • Provided manufacturing/production cost of factories
  • Support the engineer to implement design to manufacturer process


What you’ll bring

Required Skills & Experience

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experiences in Process Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Rich experience on the production process and the project experience on the in-line process improvement.
  • Relevant experience on the in-line industrial engineering such as layout initial, single process station improvement or fixture design etc.
  • Previous experience in implementing Lean concept into the production process or supply chain optimization.


Skills & Qualification

  • Good understanding of manufacturing and production
  • Strong ability on team management
  • Proven ability on managing intercultural stakeholder
  • Good understanding on process design and improve with minor change for production process.
  • Be aware of Lean knowledge.
  • Strong capability on analysis & problem solving
  • Degree level in Engineering
  • Experience in manufacturing/production
  • Strong process expertise
  • Preferred in implementing Lean projects into a factory environment
  • Language: Advanced Level English


Note: This role is requesting a lot of travel and factory visit (average of 60% in factory)
