What’s the job?

About the role As a Cloud Engineer, you will contribute to the design, delivery, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. You’ll focus on automation, scalability, and reliability while supporting the implementation of cloud-native solutions on a day-to-day basis.Working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams, you’ll help build and improve delivery pipelines, follow established standards, and adopt best practices in infrastructure, DevOps, and cloud operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of architectural decisions and contribute ideas to improve the platform.
• Take part in grooming and planning sessions to ensure technical tasks are clearly defined and deliverable.
• Help automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with team members to promote best practices and continuous learning.
• Assist in the setup and maintenance of shared IaaS, PaaS, and tooling capabilities.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of pipelines and production workflows to support deployments.
• Follow and apply established standards and practices to ensure quality and consistency.
• Work closely with product owners, engineering leads, and scrum masters to support the infrastructure strategy.
• Contribute to evaluating tools, vendors, and open-source solutions that could enhance the platform.
• Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process improvements.

• Solid understanding of DevOps practices with hands-on experience in IaaS and PaaS technologies.
• Practical experience in deploying and managing infrastructure on public cloud platforms, ideally AWS, with exposure to GCP and/or Azure.
• Good communication skills to work effectively with engineers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a methodical approach to technical challenges.
• Experience with build, release, and environment management tools, including CI/CD tools such as GitLab Runners or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) or developer portals (e.g., Backstage.io) is a plus.
• Understanding of integrating developer tools and services (CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging, security scanning) into a cohesive workflow.
• Awareness of developer experience (DevEx) principles and interest in supporting adoption of platform tools.
• Programming knowledge (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Node.js) is a nice-to-have.
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
