Sébastien Oebel started his career as Financial Analyst at Meridiam, an investment fund well-known in the infrastructure industry. In 2007, he joined McKinsey & Company and left the company after five years as Engagement Manager. Afterwards, Sébastien joined Home24 as Chief International Officer and then Chief Commercial Officer. In 2015, Sébastien joined Amazon and became three years later EU Leader Musical Instruments. In 2019, Sébastien Oebel was appointed as Kapten CEO. He holds a master’s degree with a major in entrepreneurship from HEC Paris. He speaks English, German and French
In May 2019, he led one of the largest mobility app launches in Europe. Kapten was the most downloaded app in the UK during the launch period. It reached >700,000 customers and >17,000 drivers just five months after launch. Previously, Mariusz was country manager at iwoca, UK small business lender offering financing within minutes and entirely online.
Beforehand, head of business development at bamilo.com, an e-commerce platform in Iran owned by Rocket Internet and MTN, management consultant at BCG and licensed IPO Advisor at Rubicon Partners in Poland.
Mariusz graduated from Warsaw School of Economics and completed Chartered Financial Analyst and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst programs. Marathon runner with 3h02 personal best – in 2019 he ran in London and Berlin.
Having begun her career in Performing Arts for several years, before heading back to Uni to complete a second degree, Miriam took time out to concentrate on her corporate career and went into Engineering.
After 5 years, she decided to move on start the next chapter of her career at Kapten at the beginning for 2019. Here, she began working as an onboarding Associate, then moving to a Team Lead role for Kapten’s UK Dispatch team, creating new processes and developing a team. Miriam is now the UK Driver Centre and Compliance Manager, with a strong team of 10 and growing!

Jean-Yves started his career doing Research and Development in various industrial companies. Mostly doing applied mathematics, the work was exciting, but the pace was too slow for him. Looking for a new challenge, he got interested in coding.
That's how he started his first job in the startup nation world. After a first experience in a company selling services to the cinema industry, he joined Kapten in September 2017. He was attracted by the company ambition for great product design, tech quality ambitions, and the mindset.
Since then, he has worked on many different topics: core algorithms, coordinating the opening of Lisbon, AB testing, hiring processes, building the payment tribe, and very recently switched to leading the incentives tribe.
After a Bachelor's degree in Modern and Classical Letters, Hélène decided to turn to computer science. First, she enrolled in a Multimedia program and then in a Multimedia Project Management Master's degree while doing a training-program in parallel. Once, graduated she started to work for three years for an e-commerce company.
In 2015, she decided to make another bold, professional move by joining the 42 school. She met Kapten's former CTO during one of his talk at 42 school, he was impressed by her motivation and offered her an internship interview. Hélène joined Kapten for what was supposed to be a 6-month internship in 2016 before being hired as a Full-stack developer. She currently works in the Payment Tribe, after having been part of an R&D team and the Supply Tribe.
Alexandre holds a Master's degree in International Marketing from ESCE International Business School, shortly after graduating he joined Kapten (formerly Chauffeur Privé) in November 2017.
Passionate about customer relations and striving to discover the startups' world, he joined the customer support team as Senior Customer Support Associate. After only a year he was promoted Team Leader.
Today, he and his team support Kapten in its local development and international expansion.
