Jus Mundi is looking for a Legal Apprentice (Alternance) to join our Legal team, starting September 2026 (with the possibility of a summer internship beforehand, which would be a plus).
This role sits at the intersection of law and technology. You will work closely with the Head of Legal on day-to-day legal topics that are critical to a fast-growing AI company: GDPR compliance, AI regulation, commercial contract negotiations, and Legal Operations initiatives to help the team scale efficiently. You’ll get hands-on exposure to real projects and will contribute directly to protecting and enabling Jus Mundi’s business.
You’ll be part of Jus Mundi’s Legal team, which supports all departments (Product, Engineering, Sales, Partnerships, Operations, People, etc.) with a strong focus on risk management, compliance, and business enablement.
The team’s mission is to make sure Jus Mundi grows fast and responsibly—especially given our position in legal tech and AI—by bringing pragmatic, business-oriented legal advice and continuously improving internal processes.
You will work directly with Solène, Head of Legal, with frequent interactions across the company and (depending on the projects) with external counsels, vendors, and clients.
In this role, you will:
Support GDPR compliance across the company (e.g., internal documentation, assessments, policies, vendor/privacy reviews, support on DSARs when needed, privacy-by-design reflexes with product/tech teams).
Contribute to AI regulatory work (monitoring and summarizing key legal developments—EU AI Act and related guidance, internal mapping of obligations, and support on implementation plans with the relevant stakeholders).
Help with contract negotiations (on our brand new tool Tomorro ✨) and day-to-day legal requests (reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts and vendor agreements, participating in redlines, helping improve contract playbooks and clauses).
Contribute to Legal Ops projects to make the legal function more scalable (templates and clause libraries, process improvements, contract lifecycle organization, tooling and best practices, dashboards/metrics if relevant).
Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Product, Engineering, Security, Operations) to move matters forward efficiently and document decisions clearly.
You’ll be empowered to take ownership of defined workstreams over time (with guidance), and to suggest improvements whenever you see friction in how legal work is handled.
We’re looking for someone who is eager to learn, structured, and comfortable operating in an international environment.
Required / Strongly preferred
Enrolled in a relevant program allowing an apprenticeship (alternance) starting September 2026 (e.g., Master in law, business law, IT law, data protection, EU law, compliance, etc.) for 1 or 2 years.
Genuine interest in data protection, technology law, and AI regulation.
Strong writing skills and the ability to summarize complex legal topics clearly and pragmatically.
Ability to manage multiple topics at once with good prioritization and a reliable follow-up.
Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders and moving projects forward proactively.
Languages
Fluent English (written and spoken) is required as this is our main working language.
French is a plus, but not required.
Bonus points
First exposure to contracts negotiations.
First exposure to GDPR work (clinic, internship, coursework, DPO office, privacy role, etc.).
Interest in legal tech, contract management, process improvement, or automation (Legal Ops mindset).
We’re proud of our multicultural team representing 37 nationalities! To ensure smooth communication, please apply in English (CV + Application Form).
